San Marcos - Nejapa 70-43 The game had a very big importance for third-ranked San Marcos as it allowed them to take a leadership position. San Marcos smashed 4th placed Nejapa at home 70-43. San Marcos held Nejapa to an opponent 23.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.4 percent accuracy of the winners. San Marcos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by Nejapa's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when San Marcos made 8 blocks. It was a good game for forward Ronald Flores (186-84) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Forward William Merino (187-0) contributed with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. San Marcos' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
